FAQ

Does it cost anything to register as a user?
Basic Membership of HealthProfessionalCPD is FREE (no free lunch right?…FREE means we’ll keep in touch with an occassional newsletter).  With Basic Membership you’ll be able to browse and purchase individual CPD activities and use MyCPD Record to keep track of the CPD you complete with us (or even your offline activity). As a basic member you can transfer over to CPDmonthly at anytime by clicking here.

Can I just pay for 1 or 2 hours of CPD at a time or do I have to be a member of CPDmonthly?
CPDmonthly is the best value, however, we understand that some people may just want to complete just a few hours of CPD with us.  If you’d prefer to pay-as-you-go just select the free Basic Membership option and browse individual courses from the Course Index.  As a basic member you can upgrade to CPDmonthly at anytime.

Is my personal information safe on HealthProfessionalCPD?
The security of your personal information is very important to us.  We use 128-Secure Socket Layer (SSL) encryption on all pages where you enter any payment or personal information.  We are committed to ensuring the security of your information. To prevent unauthorized access or disclosure, maintain data accuracy, and ensure the appropriate use of information, we have put in place appropriate physical, electronic, and administrative procedures to safeguard and secure the information we collect online. You may also like to read our Privacy Policy.  One more thing…like you, we really hate spam and will never lend, sell, rent or otherwise pass your email address  to anyone else (unless it’s with your permission of course!)

What payment methods do you accept?

We accept online payment using VISA or Mastercard.  We also provide the option to use PayPal and you don’t even need a PayPal account – you can just use your credit card on PayPal.  Sorry – we can’t accept cheques.

Can I make suggestions for CPD courses that I’d like to see online at HeathProfessionalCPD?
Sure! If you’ve got ideas about new courses that you’d like to see we’d love to hear about it! We’re more than happy to generate content in response to your suggestions – if enough members are interested in the proposed activity we’ll develop it! Please email any suggestions to admin@healthprofessionalcpd.com and we’ll be in touch about your ideas.  If you’re already involved in offering CPD courses or are a published author  read more about partnering with HealthProfessionalCPD to bring your material to an international audience by clicking here.

How much CPD do I need to complete?
That depends on your regulatory authority. To check what your requirements are please check with your regulatory authority:

General Osteopathic Council (GOsC)

Australian Osteopathic Association (AOA)

The Osteopathic Council of NZ (OCNZ)

Will my regulatory authority accept the CPD activities I complete on HealthProfessionalCPD?

General Osteopathic Council (GOsC)
Registrants of the General Osteopathic Council should note that the GOsC does not approve or accredit CPD courses.  Current GOsC guidelines state that “the responsibility to choose CPD that is beneficial to your practice lies with you.  You must use your professional judgment to decide this.”  At the moment we’re seeking clarification about whether some of our courses qualify as “learning with others” – we’ll let you know through our blog and in any course descriptions.

Australian Osteopathic Association (AOA)
Where necessary, all CPD activities on this site have been approved or accredited by the AOA Continuing Professional Development Committee.  Where such approval has been granted, this is clearly indicated.

Osteopathic Council of New Zealand (OCNZ)
Where necessary, all CPD activities on this site have been approved or accredited by the OCNZ.  Where such approval has been granted, this is clearly indicated.

How do I let my regulatory authority know what CPD activities I’ve completed?
All the courses you complete with HealthProfessionalCPD are automatically added to your MyCPD Record.  At anytime you can generate a report for any date range.  The report is generated in PDF format and should be saved to your computer.
